Turn Bull Lumber Company (TBLC) is a hardwood sawmill, strategically located in the Bladen Lakes State Forest, between Elizabethtown and White Lake, North Carolina. The mill is near both Interstates 95 and 40 and within 60 miles of the Port of Wilmington, North Carolina.

TBLC opened in 1993 with 17 employees and we have grown to employ over 35 employees today. Since opening our doors, TBLC has consistently invested in the latest in optimized equipment that enables us to manufacture lumber efficiently and productively. TBLC seeks to maintain within and between board tolerances of +/- .015" and to manufacture lumber on which our customers are proud to put their name. We also seek to provide lumber that gives our customers superior yields in their respective manufacturing processes.

Our product mix includes 4/4 through 10/4, with a primary emphasis on 4/4 and 5/4. The species mix is 30% Yellow Poplar, 25% Cypress, 15% Red Oak, 10% White Oak, 10% Soft Maple and 5% each Ash and Tupelo (sometimes referred to as "American White Wood").

Our lumber inspectors have been trained by the National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA) and TBLC is an NHLA Certified mill. We can provide lumber that is graded per the NHLA grading rules or any other grading specifications that our customers require. Consistency is the foundation of our grading philosophy.

Simply put, we strive to offer world class manufacturing and customer service practices. At the same time, we are committed to being outstanding stewards of our renewable natural resources. TBLC as well as our outside log suppliers follow the Best Management Practices guidelines outlined by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative.
